Hi all
Have been on a quick visit to Instow, home of this years Trio
Nationals. A beautiful setting, really friendly club and a really nice club
house inside. The secretary there said the way to win at Instow is to
................................................. And that's all there is to it.
If anyone is looking for accommodation, as well as the link I sent earlier there
is also a lovely pub restaurant called the Wayfarer Inn that does B&B, we
had a look at the rooms and they are really good quality and there are limited
facilities in the back of the pub for drying wetsuits. Single room is £50,
double or twin £80.
If you are looking at self catering there are apartments exactly opposite the
sailing club called Chandlers Court and can be booked via Marsdens Cottage
Holidays phone 01271 813777 or website www.marsdens.co.uk
There are 8 of us currently booked in at the moment.
Having spoken to Andy Simmons there will be a BBQ event at the club house on
Saturday 22nd May but nothing on the Friday. With this in mind I have
provisionally booked us in the upstairs restaurant at a place called "The
Bar" for the Friday night which is literally 2 minutes walk from the
sailing club. Really nice atmosphere main meals between £9 and £16 and for any
real ale enthusiast they do Doombar, Exmoor and something called Doombar winter
(hopefully the last one won't be needed when we go).
If you want to be included in the meal just let me know and I'll add you to the
list, email fredndeb@talktalk.net.
Nearer the time they'll send me a menu and I will then be able to confirm
numbers.
Hope that has wetted your appetite for Instow
